A Quick Cruise

Tim and Cyndi came out this summer and we decided to go on a little cruise to the Bahamas.  It was just a quicky 3 night out of Port Canaveral.  It was their first cruise.  It went to Nassau and a little island called Cocoa Cay.  In Nassau, Tim, Jennifer, Kristin and I went diving on the south side of the island.  We dove on a DC-3, did a wall dive, done on the remains of a vulcan bomber from the movie "Never say Never" (a Bond Movie), and went into a shipwreck.  Is was one of the best dives I've ever done.

Ahh the mighty travelers after accomplishing the first task of the day, finding the smoking area.

We are still at the Cape but it's never to early for the drink of the day on a cruise.

You notice Kris back there.  She was just happy that she could drink of the boat.  I think that makes me a poor parent.

This is the table that I pissed away a good bit of the kids inheritance.  I guess you can get a pretty good education in community college.

I think Cyndi pissed away all of $3.  But she did it on her favorite machine.

Notice Tim had the coffee cup and I have the Scotch glass.  Is anyone surprised by this.

I wish they'd let me grow a beard to I could get ride of one of those chins.

What would a cruise be without animals made out of towels.

Kristin and Kathy

Me, Jake and Jennifer.

The mighty shoppers out to find crap in Nassau.

You can tell Jake was really happy about this.

On the other hand, Cyndi really is happy to be out there.

Where do they come up with the color coordination's.  I'm thinking after praying to the blessed god, Ganja.

Our boat, The Monarch of the Seas.

Paradise Island.  You can see the bridge between the buildings.  That is actually a huge hotel room.  I think it runs about $40k a night.

Looking at Nassau from the boat.

Kris and Jen heading out to Cocoa Cay.

This is the only way to enjoy a vacation.

Jen's main concern was keeping her legs out of the sun.  I mean really, it took her years to get those things that pale color you see.

Our boat from Cocoa Cay.

The midnight buffet.  Man, they put on a beautiful spread.

After ordering the Lobster.

Almost 18.  Scary.

Over 16, very scary.

The boat had a Rock Climbing wall on it.  It's about the only time Kathy and I get to do it so we make a point of playing, at least once.

Kathy on the wall.

That's me up there.

Kris gave it a shot and made it up, having a blast doing it.

"OK.  I rang the bell.  Now what am I supposed to do?"

"Man do my arms hurt"

"Dad, your not going to take my picture, are you?"

Even Jake gave it a try.

Jen did it also but she went up by herself and convinced them she was 18 so she didn't need her parents permission.  She new I'd want to take pictures and she is not a big fan of having her picture taken.
