Puerto Rico

The Cruise left out of PR on a Saturday Evening.  When we looked at the cruise, the flights were wide open.  As it got closer, the flights started to fill up.  I was getting very nervous.  What do you do when you are flying standby and things fill up?  You go a day early to make sure you make it.  That's what we did.  Wouldn't you know it.  We made it thru on the first flight we tried.  Even got First Class.

But that left us in PR 24 hours before we could get on the boat.  As it had been about 10 years since we were there last, we decided to go on a walking tour of Old San Juan. 12-14 miles and 4 sore feet later we got back to the hotel and crashed.  Here are some pics we took.

Kathy and I in one of the parapets on the north side of Old San Juan.  The main thing that these things are used for now is to walk the dog.  There were turds everywhere you looked (or stepped).  Now you would think that two professional pilots could navigate around one small island without getting lost.  Well, we never got lost but we were never quite where we thought we were.

This was looking at Fort Moro.  We knew that we were half way through this little walking adventure so we didn't do the whole tour.  We went up a little closer than this but that was about it.

We think this was the church where some friends of ours were married back in 1997.

These are some bronze skinny dippers.  I'm serious.  All these girls are naked and bronze, frolicking in the water.  You can't make this kind of stuff up.
