On the Ship
The ship was beautiful. The only complaint about the whole cruise would be that we only got one day at sea. On the other had, we did get 5 ports. There is just no pleasing some people.
This is a picture of the Main Atrium. There was this glass table on the level above the ceiling of the atrium and this is what you saw looking down thru it. I was going to stand on it, just to see, but I chickened out.
This is the slot machine where I lost the kids college fund. Oh Well, the world needs ditch diggers, too.
This was getting ready for the first Formal Night. This was our first cruise with Royal Caribbean. We had always been on Carnival. Let me tell you, there is no comparison. Royal has it beat on everything but room size. The cabin was noticeably smaller than the rooms on Carnival. But there isn't anyone I'd rather knock elbows with that Kathy.
Captain Stig. This guy talked like a robot and even had a robotic smile. I'm sure he'd be great working at AA.
The first table we got was not so great. Seating for six. There was Kathy and I and a family of 4. Unfortunately, only two of them spoke English. We talked the head waiter into a table change. They ended up giving us a great table next to the captains table. There were a bunch of big wigs at it (or at least they talked like they were big wigs) and we had a blast. I didn't want to admit what I did for a living so I told them I was a garbage man.
If you've ever been on a cruise, you've seen this guy. You know, the one who is always taking everyone's picture. Well I got him. I took his picture. The only thing is that it didn't turn out near as badly as mine do when he takes it.
Captain of the Ship
We had one of those premium meals at the Chops Grill. Man what a feast.
An Ice sculpture at the midnight buffet.
We spent some quality time at this bar. The main guy there (believe it or not, his name is Attila) claimed he made the best Mai Tai's on the boat. Or at least that's what he said. Kathy had to try the Mai Tai's at every other bar just to find out (I was sticking to scotch). The end result, he was right.
We played everything and every game we could on the ship. But with a twist. We played it while drinking Mai Tai's. So this is where we played Mai Tai Ping Ping.
The main elevator gallery looked out over the water. Very Impressive.
The main pool. Those fools from Iowa may have thought the water was warm but we sure as hell didn't get into it.
I like to hang out with these kinda people because they make me and my belly look good.
These two are pics of the indoor solarium. No Kids Allowed. When we saw that sign, we thought of our own kids. But the thought passed quickly.
Kathy beating me a Mai Tai Pee Wee Golf. There is no god.
If you're a pro and you know it clap your hands (Clap...Clap)
You see. Lot of room for everything. This was during the last day of the cruise. We were trying to figure our how we were going to pack all this crap.
We had our picture taken during Formal Night. You can see it just to the left of my face. We didn't think is was that good and were too cheap, anyway, to buy it. So here it is.
And a fabulous time was had by all. (Do I have a booger?)
