Easter 2011

OK, you may think its ridiculous for our kids, considering their ages, to go crazy over Easter.  Believe it or not, they still believe in Santa.  The Tooth Fairy.  All of it.  Hey, it's a mean world out their and you try to let them live in Lala Land for as long as possible.

Actually, it's pretty nice that at their ages, they still want to have anything to do with us.  We still have fun mornings, they compete to see who gets the most eggs, the trade each other till everyone gets the candy they like.  Then the girls go on diets and the shit sits around for a month.

It was a slim pickens Easter for new movies.

On your mark, get set, STOP.  Just kidding.  OK.  For real this time.....On your mark, get set, Stop.  No Really.  Hey wait you guys.  I didn't say GO yet.

We learned the hard way to get an accurate count of the real eggs and make sure they find them all.  A plastic egg with a mini Snickers bar will wait for months (experience talking) but the real eggs get very ripe, very quick (experience talking).

This one is going to graduate from High School and College in a month and we caught her elbowing Jake out of her way to get a green one.  She said it's because it's her favorite color.  Right.

Then we have the quiet one her.  Just goes around.  Snatching them up.  And usually cleans up.

This room is funnest for Kathy and I.  We have ten pounds of shit in a room the size of a five pound bag.  The hiding places are abundant.

See what I mean about the quiet one.  She cleans up.

At the end of the mighty haul.

We had a formal dinner down at Patty and Gerrys that night.  You can't tell it from his expression but Jake really like to dress up in a suite and tie.

Jen.....not so much.  But we still make her do it.
