Santorini, Greece
Saturday (7-4)
I had never heard of this place. But I thought "what the hell." It was kinda neat but the main purpose seemed to be shopping.
Patty is thinking she could do some great shopping at this place. Gerry is thinking she could do some great damage at this place.
Kristin and Kevin aboard the tender.
I was thinking of taking one of the donkeys up the trail but Kris and Kathy got one whiff and said No Way. So we walked.
About the only good thing to say about the walk is that the views were very nice.
Jake would take about 15 steps and then need to stop to rest. It made for slow going.
Actually, I wasn't much better. I could only go for about 20 steps. I gotta quite smoking.
Thats not soil between those rocks.
Obligatory self shot
From the top, looking down. Look at all those switch backs.
The just kinda built into and on top of and over, everything. I'd hate to be a pizza delivery boy trying to find a certain address at this place.
We ate at some cafe. Kathy said these things were great. I just thought it was a croissant, stuffed with spinach.
A view from on top of the hill. Our boat is on the left.
I don't think that had a plan in mind when they built this place. Unless the blueprint was of a goat rodeo, and no one brought any rope.
The weary travelers.
We took the tram down. No lines.
They just built anyplace the could find a foothold.
You can see the switchbacks going up the center.
This is the view from the boat.
