Christmas 2009

Another holiday has come and gone.  We went up to New York this Christmas.  Didn't even put up lights or a tree or anything in Melbourne.  Man am I getting lazy.  Anyway, the kids flew (Patty got them tickets to the Lion King for the Saturday after the school break started.  Airline tickets were purchased.  Blasphemy.  Kristin couldn't get over the fact she didn't have to dress up.  None of them were wild about not getting first class (they went on Southwest).

Anyway, Kathy and I got caught in that nasty storm that followed up all the way up the eastern seaboard.  From Richmond to New York should have taken about 6.5 to 7 hours.  It took us over 14 hours.  What a misery.

But on the good note, the Holidays were very nice and the kids got their White Christmas.

Did you know that the drivers in Virginia and Maryland are piss poor drivers in the snow.

Don't know why I was smiling.  Must have been something on my iPod.

Snow is beautiful.  In Pictures.  Not to drive thru.

Ahhhh, the memories.

Snow shoveling got real old, real fast.

Jake kept taking brakes and eating the snow.  We warned him about the yellow snow.  We told him it was lemon.

Looks like that kid from "A Christmas Story"

It was all her fault.  She wished and prayed for a White Christmas.

Hey, this yellow snow doesn't taste like lemon!!

That was alot of snow.

Those braces should be coming off in a few weeks.

What would a trip to New York be without a couple of projects.

Getting ready for Christmas Eve Mass.

Jake has finally graduated to a real tie from a zipper tie.

Do I have to go?  I don't believe in God so why do I have to go?

Kristin dresses up pretty well.

Kevin, looking very dapper.

Garrett.  Not so much dapper.

Ah, the tree.  Patrick and Kevin had it set up very nicely.  But then again, they do a great job every year.

Kristin got a new camera.  Maybe she won't drop a Monster Drink on this one.

Jen fared very nicely as well.

Jake got this fleece lined robe.  He hasn't been out of it since.

Imagine that, he got a Mario Game.  What a shock.

I still can't believe my wife approved Kevin and Patrick giving this to Jake.  Actually, he can play it very well.
