Jake's 13th Birthday Party

Our son is now a Teenager.  Man, do I feel old.  We had a Pool/Bounce House Party for him at the house.  I'm thinking this is the last year we're going to get the Bounce House for him.  They start getting much older and they think that Bounce Houses are for little kids and they are too cool to go on one of those stupid things. 

But we squeaked another year out of it.  It and the party were a big hit.

I kept telling the kids we had gators it the back yard and keep an eye out.

This was a biggie.  Not one but two fans.

I wish I  could can the energy these kids had.  And yes, that's a girl that Jake invited.  We tried to give him a hard time about it but he didn't care.  She's a friend from school and they've been in "Odyssey of the Mind" and "Future Problem Solvers" for years.

She drew the line at the hot tub.  There were just too many boys in that little space.

The kids wiped out the vegetables.  Can you believe it?  Kathy's chili dip was a big hit, also.

So after eating for the last 2 hours, what do they do.  Why they eat dinner, of course.

And then the cake.

Runnin out of room for those candles.

And now for the most indecisive person on the planet.  He couldn't even decide how to cut the cake.

They put a hurtin on the food.

So what do a bunch of smart kids do after they eat everything they can?  First they suck all the helium out of the balloons and talk funny.  They they play video games.  What else.

After they kids left, Kathy and I went ahead and took some turns in the bounce house.  That thing is tiring!!!
