Kristin's Graduations

Notice the Plural.  She graduated from High School and also received her Associates Degree.  She worked her tail off, had some ups and downs, but she did it.

We also were impressed with how she milked it.  It is common knowledge around our house that she can turn a single birthday into a month affair.  Some how, she manages to have multiple parties, get-togethers, and dinners.  She is the master.

It seems like she's doing it again with this.  She truly is impressive.

But if I have to put up with all this so I can get my naked room when she moves into the dorms, so be it.

I've bookmarked the page so click on the heading to go to the pics

Her College Seal.  They are celebrating their 50th anniversary and the first president of the college was there.  He looked pretty good, too

The happy Graduate

And it only seems like yesterday that she was shorter than Kathy.

But she's not taller that me.

And way taller that Patty.

She's been out of school for a couple of days and thought she'd get some exercise.  This is how you use a treadmill.  Just ask her.

And I remember a time when she would just ignore us all the time.  Come to think of it, this is the only time she looked at us the whole time.  Including lunch, afterward.

She was pissed when she found out the diploma case was empty.  I told her they would mail it when they were sure you paid for all the classes.

She looked a little nervous and asked if that included tickets for parking in the wrong lot.

And here are the fools that passed her.

I was a little dissapointed that they didn't throw the hats in the air.  Kathy said something about it being too dangerous.  Sounds like bullshit to me but who can tell.

All smiles.

And for all this, she got a new computer, an iPad, and a Nissan Versa.  Talk about making a killing.

Cocoa Beach Graduation

We attended the graduation at Cocoa Beach High School.  Kathy's parents were there but my parents also came out for it.  It was cool having all the family present.

Here is the commencement hand-out.  Was this high school or Buzz Lightyear?

That's Kris in the blue robe, wandering out into the square.  There was music playing so I guess it was somewhat organized.

Her is her getting her Associated Degree from the representative of Brevard Community College.  Sorry about the pic quality.  I was a bit out of position for these.  My bad.

Kristin's boyfriend, Logan.

Can you imagine how long it takes those kids to find their caps after they throw them up in the air like that.  Hours, I'd expect.

The proud parents.

Our little girl is a gradiate.  And going off to Florida State University in the Fall.  We're going to try and fit in a trip to Paris for Kris and Kathy before she has to start the real work.

The Graduation Party at home

We decided to have a little graduation party at the house for friends and neighbors.  A BBQ/Pool party for the people that have watched her grow up for the last 8 years.  And any excuse to have friends over for a party is a good excuse.

She really did it.  Amazing.

This was from our Church.  They recognized all the seniors in the Parish.  There weren't many others that graduated with their AA Degree.  She really worked her ass of to do it.  And she graduated "With Honors" and a 3.5 GPA (High School and College Classes)

This was the beginning of the party.  Notice she is asleep on the chair.  After the graduation the night before, the school sponored this party at a local youth center.  They locked the doors, had a bunch of raffles and games and dances and stuff.  They didn't let them out until 5 am.  She and Logan got home about 5:30, beat to shit, and spent a good part of the day napping.  She was still out of it a 2 pm.

I wanted to get some shaving cream, put it on her hand, and then tickle her face.  Jen and Jake were up for it but it was vetoed by Kathy.  She can be such a spoil sport.

The food layed out and the revelry beginning.

This was a really cool cake that Kathy found.  And it tasted pretty good as well.

Kris was wondering how to cut it.  I told her it was her party so she could cut it any way she wanted.

It had a little graduation cap on it.  I wanted to make her wear it.  But again, Kathy was a spoil sport.  That woman can be such a stick in the mud.

More reveling.

Her are some of the neighbors, solving the worlds problems.

Logan.

There was food for days.

What would the world be without self photos
